With the development of the country and the progress of the society,the demand for electricity supply of users also have higher requirements.In order to enhance the sustainable development of energy and improve the utilization of new energy,the concept of micro grid is first proposed by foreign scholars.Micro grid has become a hot spot of research and development,which makes the user's requirements for the safety reliability of micro grid is also improved.Micro grid is a small distributed system.The structure unit of the photovoltaic,wind power and energy storage unit is connected with the user terminal through the combination of the modern power electronics technology.From the perspective of power grid,micro grid is a branch of the power grid,which can be flexible to meet the needs of the external circuit network.From the user point of view,the micro grid to meet their specific needs.For example,to enhance the reliability of home use,to maintain the stability of electricity and to provide an uninterrupted power supply,and so on.Therefore,the micro grid and the power grid can pass energy exchange,mutual reserve energy,enhance the stability of power supply and distribution.The research field of micro grid in foreign countries started earlier than in China,and its key technologies have made some breakthrough progress.Europe and the United States and Canada and other countries have built a number of demonstration projects for the development and construction of micro grid provides a lot of valuable practical experience.At the same time,foreign countries have been moving in the direction of the micro grid to a higher voltage and larger capacity of the target.This paper first introduces the research background and significance,research status at home and abroad,then introduces the distribution network fault detection principle,the design of distribution network fault detection terminal hardware circuit,distribution network fault detection terminal software circuit design,the design of distribution GIS system,at the end of a 10 KV city distribution network fault location test.
