With the development of the times,people began to put forward more and more requirements for the buildings they live in,from the initial caves just meeting the most basic needs,to the super high structures with large span space out of the pursuit of beautiful architectural form.When the structure is complex and changeable,it is often difficult to protect itself from being damaged under seismic loading and thus causes the loss of property and casualties.In order to solve this problem,many scholars of all nations have put forward a lot of solutions,and arranging dampers with good energy dissipation capacity in the structure is one of the effective methods.The paper proposed a new type of energy dissipation device suitable for reticulated shell structures,and analyzed its characteristic of energy dissipation.The main contents of this paper are as follows:1.Designed and developed a new type of energy dissipation device,and applied low cyclic loading to the energy dissipation device to get the load-displacement curve of the new type of energy dissipation device,which laid the foundation for the comparison of the finite-element data.2.Compared and analyzed it by establishing the finite element model with the same size of the new energy dissipation device,and then verified the reliability of the finite element model.Changed the main parameters of the new type of energy dissipation device to obtain the relationship between the parameters and the hysteretic performance of the energy dissipation device.Finally,obtained a set of parameters of the new type of energy dissipation device with good hysteretic performance,and extracted the skeleton curves of the parameters to lay the foundation for the performance analysis of the energy dissipation in the reticulated shell.3.Then the paper established a kind of foppl pattern cylindrical reticulated shell,and analyzed its inherent characteristics.After that,added a new type of energy dissipation device in the shell,and studied the influence of the energy dissipation device on the inherent characteristics of the reticulated shell.4.Carried out the time history analysis of the foppl pattern cylindrical reticulated shell under the condition of eight degrees of earthquake.And studied the influence of different initial bending on the seismic response of the reticulated shell under theseismic action with single and three directions.Added the selected new type of energy dissipation device into the shell,and discussed the influence of different arrangement forms and quantity of the energy dissipation device on the damping effect under the seismic action.
