With the development of economy and the need of building a harmonious socialist society,the new energy power generation and micro grid technology gradually grow up.Wind power was applied to the remote areas,such as northwest of our country,which is due to endure hardships of natural conditions.New energy power generation,however,has many problems to be solved.Otherwise,it will affect the stability of micro grid.Micro power grid can't work without energy storage systems that provides energy buffer in the process of normal and continuous operation.Energy storage system plays an important role in micro power grid,and there are many different kinds of energy storage devices,which is also convenient in use.It provides great guarantee for the stable operation.This article focuses on the flywheel energy storage system in the application of the micro grid.First of all,simply introduces were made to the development of the micro grid and application in the micro grid energy storage system by comparing the characteristics of several kinds of energy storage device.On account of the flywheel energy storage devices has advantages of high efficiency,fast charge and discharge,and environmental protection,the flywheel energy storage was selected as the study object of energy storage for adjusting the frequency fluctuations in the wind power system.Secondly,it makes a detailed description of the basic structure and working principle of flywheel energy storage device,the establishment of charge and discharge model,and the characteristics of power output and classification of power.On the basis of this,it makes a full analysis of micro grid system,including its power transmission characteristics,operation mode,and control method in order to prepare for the later simulation.Finally,under the MATLAB/Simulink simulation,the experiment is carried on in the cases of considering the influence of changes of duty ratio,the moment of inertia,and the friction coefficient of the flywheel energy storage charge and discharge.Frequency changes is compared the systems with and without energy storage flywheel energy storage and the condition of load changes.Simulation results show that devices with the flywheel energy storage can make suppressive effect on Micro grid system frequency fluctuations,which proved the feasibility of the project.
