Dating from nearly recent 50 years ago , people have put more and more emphasis on getting the oil and gas resources from the ocean area, and as a result, Drilling Rig Platform and other resource acquiring ships are getting much more day by day . Subsequently , the number of the related manufactures to build these drilling rig platforms has been sharply increased within the past 30 years , which has made a nearly saturated status between the platforms’ supply parts and users . And at the same time , the daily decreasing crude oil price is cutting down the incomes of the rig platform operation part daily too . It is very obvious that the skills for the drilling rig platforms’ manufactures are in greater needed than before .Among the skills , to deliver the product in good quality and in time is the most important one.To some degree,it can be said that Whether we could deliver the platform in time and in good quality or not depends on the methods of production organizing patterns and their building sequence , which is especially important for the maximum-density-construction area in the platform , and that area is called the living quarter area . There are 2 existing building methods to build the living quarter parts of the platforms are respectively belonging to workshop building Pattern and Area Construction Pattern, however,both of the 2 construction methods are very weak of them own in eliminating the 2 critical problems which usually appeared during construction process of the living quarter part . The 1st one is the delay risk due to the handicaps among the several construction teams of each disciplines ,which may delay the delivery of not only the living quarter part ,but also the whole rig platform . And the 2nd one is the poor preliminary accomplished ceiling height performance of the rooms in the living quarter area,which means either money and time delay to rectify the work or satisfaction destruct of the Regulation and the Owner · Therefore,To building up a new living quarter construction method is an indispensable and imperative job .This article is aiming at setting up a new rational building method to deal with the 2 awful problems which are the delay caused by disciplines’ construction work in bad order and the low performed ceiling height. The main content of the article is described as below:1)By the way of analysis the construction method ,the current construction status , the construction period and the ceiling height request Regulations , we got the conclusion in theory that the current 2 building methods were very weak to eliminate the 2 awful problems ,and finding a better building method was indispensable and imperative . we named the new method "Visual Team Pattern Building method for LQ".2)After study of the 2 problems in detail, we tried to dig out the construction pattern ,method and the detail manage and control sequence of the building work.3)We put the new construction method into use in the construction of a sample drilling rig platform Living Quarter aera , and managed to gain the detail operation manual.4)After operation on the sample project , we judged the construction result and the tentative plan by comparison , and as a result , the new building method was proved successful both in theory and in practice , especially for the effect of eliminating the 2 awful problems mentioned before.The content of this article is from and for the current production status . The new building method mentioned in the article could be called a thorough new building method apart from the current ones , and it was truly a good method to build and control the drilling rig platform’s living quarter area as a separate part delivered in time and in good quality ,especially helpful in the ceiling height performance . Further more , this article is of profound significance to the improvement of the civil marine manufacture’s construction level.
