The objects at any temperature can radiate the electromagnetic waves, which have a series of distribution according to wavelength. In order to research the characteristic of the radiation, people introduced the concept of blackbody model, which is not dependent on the characteristic of the objects, but related to temperature, and it provided important theoretical basis for infrared detection, radiation thermometry and thermal imaging technology. Therefore, it plays an important role in researching thermal radiation characteristics of the objects. In this paper, we have made a quantitative description of the thermal radiation field, the emission of the artificial black body cavity, the three laws of blackbody radiation, and finished the approximate calculation of blackbody radiation theory. We designed a spectral scanning system of blackbody based on prism dispersion theory, which used the stepper motor as the driver of the spectrometer rotatio. In the hardware part, we used the MCU acted in connect with ULN2003 chip to accomplished controlling the speed, direction and the number of steps of the motor rotation. We chose the thermopile as the detector for blackbody radiation, designed the amplifier circuit and filter circuit, demonstrated the advantage of high sensitivity and low noise by making an experimental test. At last,we made a measurement of radiation power of the radiation source under different temperature and same wavelength by using the system we designed, and made a contrast with theory, verified the feasibility of the system, which has a characteristic of be simple in principle,an intuitive phenomenon and easy operating. And it has practical significance for the application of blackbody radiation law.
