Offshore wind energy has been widely used and become a new strategy for promoting sustainable development in China and many other coastal countries. Foundation is the support structure of offshore wind turbine(OWT), and its safety relates to the normal operation of the whole wind turbine generator system. Ship collision and earthquake are important factors related with safety of foundation for OWT. Currently, Research on these two aspects is relatively rare both at home and abroad. Response of jacket foundation for OWT caused by ship collision and seismic action is systematically studied in the paper. Some useful conclusions are obtained from research work,which can provide references for similar engineering in the further.The major research includes several parts:(1) Taking a jacket foundation of 3.0MW OWT and a bow of a ship with dead weight of 3000t as the research objects, collision processes of the foundation by the ship bow is simulated using ADINA considering the effect of different ship speed,different collision position and different joint thickness. In addition, influence on load bearing capacity of the foundation form collision damage is also discussed.(2) Jacket foundation analysis program (JFAP) is developed based on OpenSEES system,which can be applied in static and elastic-plastic seismic analysis for jacket foundation of OWT. The program can effectively implement parameterized modeling, rapid generating solution file and displaying post processing results in table or graph for jacket foundation of OWT. Results verify the accuracy of the solution results of JFAP, by comparing with commercial structural analysis program ETABS .(3) Based on fiber element theory, finite element analysis model for jacket foundation is established. Seismic response of jacket foundation is simulated by JFAP using the time history analysis method under seismic wave propagation of Taft wave and EI Centro wave. Seismic responses of jacket foundation to different seismic intensity and different seismic wave propagation is compared and analyzed.
