Cable dome structure is different from the traditional structure,it has a higher structural efficiency because of its special mechanical properties.The main work of structural design of a cable dome is optimal design of prestress,the bar cross-sectional area and the shape of structure.By ISIGHT and ANSYS,the results of single-objective optimization and multi-objective optimization were computed and compared.Based on the theory of equilibrium matrix and the concept of global feasible prestressing force,the self-stress mode of Geiger cable dome is obtained by MATLAB,and then the overall feasible prestress force is obtained.The correctness of the MATLAB program can be verified by ANSYS.By the H-J direct search method and the adaptive simulated annealing method,the single-objective optimization of the minimum prestressing force and the minimum structural mass of the Geiger cable dome is carried out.By NSGA-II method and an improved hierarchical optimization method,a multi-objective optimization of minimum prestressing force and the minimum structural mass is carried out.By comparing the results of different optimization methods,the scope of application of different optimization methods is clarified.The principle of non-normalized multi-objective optimization is introduced,and the principle and optimization process of four multi-objective optimization methods are introduced.Based on these four methods,a multi-objective optimization of minimum mass and maximum stiffness is carried out.Comparing the optimization process of the four methods and the optimization results with different evaluation criteria,the advantages and disadvantages of each method are obtained,which provides the basis for the multi-objective optimization method selection.Considering three kinds of static loading conditions,the multi-objective optimization of Geiger cable dome with minimum prestressing force and minimum mass is carried out,and the optimal design result of cable dome considering the most unfavorable load condition is obtained.By the DOE design method and the Latin hypercube design,the sensitivity of each design variable is analyzed,and the influence of each design variable on the state variables of the cable dome is obtained.
