The characteristics of intermittent,unpredictable within renewable energy lead to the fluctuation and flicker phenomenon of power grid voltage,and make the grid suffer reactive power disturbance seriously,moreover,will lead to the unstability of the grid.In order to solve this kind of problem,the most widely used technique is the reactive power compensation technology.This technology can improve the power factor and consolidate the power system stability,but it can't regulate the active power;Furnish energy storage device can offset the grid voltage fluctuation and alleviate the pressure of the power system,but the one-time purchase cost is higher.In addition,the battery can also lead to problems such as environmental pollution;To make up for the deficiency of the existing technology,this paper studies a new type of power electronic technology named Electric spring(ES).The technology not only can adjust the reactive power and active power,but also can reduce the installed capacity demand and the cost.In this article,the research background and meaning of ES is introduced in the first chapter,and it focuses on analyzing the pros and cons of the voltage regulation technology which is the current commonly used,and it raises the development trend and prospects of ES.In the second chapter,the theory analysis of ES is studied through the comparative analysis of the working principle of the traditional mechanical spring and ES,and it probes into the effect of the ratio of Non-critical load in the power grid on the limitations of ES.Under the background of the analysis of the power grid voltage disturbance,the paper introduces the principle of reactive power compensation realized by ES in the third chapter.And the paper puts forward the optimization scheme for the shortcoming of causing harmonic by the topology.Based on the double closed loop control for the amplitude and phase of ES with using PI controller,the paper introduces its parameter setting combining with the ES theory analysis and engineering experience.And ES simulation topology applied in reactive power compensation is built by using the MATLAB/SIMULINK simulation platform.Simulation data shows that ES has a good effect of steading voltage and reactive power compensation dynamically for the fluctuation of power grid.
