China's highways have been developed rapidly, but now many roads have been damaged, and road's development has entered into the era of maintenance and conservation.The renovation of the asphalt road has produced a lot of waste material, if we recycle these waste materials, it will bring huge economic value and protect the environment.In order to make full use of these asphalt waste materials, the study of asphalt recycling technology will be necessary. After fully analyzing the present research status of cold recycling technology of asphalt pavement at home and abroad, the paper takes the overhaul of G206 National Road which lies in the northern Xuzhou,Jiangsu province as the research object. and studies the HIRM cold recycling technology with more higher content of RAP. Specific research contents are as follows:(1) The natural conditions, traffic volume, the structure of the existing pavement and the pavement diseases caused by the G206 highway are investigated and analyzed.The G206 road condition such as damage, rutting depth, smoothness and disease are evaluated, several different maintenance schemes are given and compared.(2) By reviewing the literature , a set of design methods and steps for HIRM asphalt cold recycling are put forward: The gradation of HIRM raw material is tested,and a design method of HIRM mixture is put forward. The optimum liquid content and the optimum amount of emulsified asphalt for HIRM recycled mixture were determined according to the tests which have choosed the good gradation .(3) By reviewing the literature, on the basis of summarizing the design methods at home and abroad, the design steps of pavement with recycled layer are put forward. The main influencing factors of pavement structure with recycled layer were studied by orthogonal test. In view of the different form of pavement failure, the axle load conversion of pavement with recycled layer is studied.(4) Taking G206 as the object of study, the gradation control method, construction technology and construction acceptance of HIRM recycling project were studied, and its economy was compared.
