Microbial fuel cell(MFC)can take electro microorganism as catalyst,directly converts the chemical energy into electrical energy,it is a product of combination and development of microbial and battery technology.In a large number of MFC treatment of wastewater,MFC processing a variety of wastewater,including dye wastewater,beer wastewater,molasses wastewater,domestic sewage,electroplating wastewater etc.Among them,the brewery wastewater and the molasses wastewater has the characteristics of high concentration and high organic content,can be used for MFC substrate of anode,it can be used as nutrient help electricigens to produce electricity;Electroplating wastewater because of its containing heavy metal ions,which has strong oxidation and high redox potential characteristics,can be used for MFC cathode liquid,can be used as cathode electron acceptor.Moreover,MFC has multiple functions of seawater desalination and p roduction capacity of power generation,and its has far-reaching significance in practical application of the future.This research first constructs two-chamber microbial full cells that use beer wastewater,molasses wastewater,and beer-molasses mixed wastewater as the anode substrate respectively,and that the electroplating wastewater as cathode liquid;Second,the parallel constructs the three groups MFCs that the effective area of anode electrode is respectively 25 cm2,50 cm2,and 75 cm2;Then the parallel constructs the two groups MFCs that the temperature of anode liquid is 20±2? and 35±2? respectively,to inspect the electricity generation performance and sewage treatment effect of each device.Finally,using 454 high-throughput sequencing analyses MFC anodic microbial communities.Experimental results show that:(1)When molasses wastewater used as the anode electrode liquid,the MFC production capacity and COD removal rate reached the highest,the beer wasterwater was second and beer-molasses mixed wastewater was lowest in three groups.When molasses wastewater used as the anode electrode liquid,the highest voltage output of 356.3 mV and the maximum power density of 36.21 mW/m2.In addition,COD removal rate reached its highest value(69.29%)in the third cycle,and the lowest concentration of Ag+ was 304 mg/L in cathode chamber at the end of experiment;(2)When the 75 cm2 used as the effective area of anode electrode,the MFC production capacity and COD removal rate reached the highest,the 50 cm2 was second and 25 cm2 was lowest in three groups.When the 75 cm2 used as the effective area of anode electrode,the highest voltage output of 375.1 mV and the maximum power density of 18.76 mW/m2.In addition,COD removal rate reached its highest value(68.88%)in the third cycle,and the lowest concentration of Ag+ was 309 mg/L in cathode chamber at the end of experiment;(3)When the 35±2? used as the temperature of anode liquid,the MFC production capacity and COD removal rate reached the highest,the 20±2 ? was lowest in three groups.When the 35±2? used as the temperature of anode liquid,the highest voltage output of 312.4 mV and the maximum power density of 19.52 mW/m2.In addition,COD removal rate reached its highest value(68.17%)in the third cycle,and the lowest concentration of Ag+ was 305 mg/L in cathode chamber at the end of experiment;(4)there were 8 kinds of dominant bacteria in the MFC that beer wastewater used as the anode electrode liquid,of which Ethanoligenens_uncultured_bacterium was flavobacterium and Pectinatus_unclassified,Bacteroidales_unclassified,Raoultella_unclassified,Enterobacter_unclassified,and Veillonellaceae_unclassified were unknown bacteria.Research shows that,MFC that used beer wastewater as and used electroplating wastewater as cathode liquid to treat two kinds of wastewater has feasibility of establishing.The effciency of electricity generation and wastewater treament were affected by the anode electrode liquid,the effective area of anode electrode and the temperature of anode liquid in two-chamber MFC.Ethanoligenens_uncultured_bacterium was flavobacterium in the MFC that beer wastewater used as the anode electrode liquid.
