With the rapid development of Distributed Generation technology and being widely used in power distribution network,the Distributed Generation under the condition of fault location technology is the difficulty.When all kinds of failures occur in the distribution network,the accurate and fast fault orientation is the prerequisite for ensuring the safety and quality of the power supply.Therefore,it is necessary to study the fault location technology of the distribution network with DG.That DG is introduced in the distribution network will cause the traditional fault section locating method is no longer applicable because it can not feedback DG switching information.Firstly,the development status of fault location of distribution network in China and abroad is analyzed to understand the advantages and disadvantages of various methods.Then,the typical DG types,advantages and effects of distribution networks with DG on fault location are studied in detail.Combining these two points,the breakthrough of the improved algorithm is obtained from two aspects that the traditional algorithm does not apply to distributed power supply switching in the distribution network and the shortcomings of traditional algorithm itself.For the problem that the original ant colony algorithm is easy to fall into the local optimum,that the convergence speed is slow,and that the fault location mathematical model can not be used because of DG switching,and an improved method based on the original ant colony algorithm is proposed.In this paper,we use the information from the fault information itself to find the initial pheromone of the ant colony,find a good quality pheromone updating method,reconstruct the switching function to adapt to the switching of DG,and optimize the parameter of Ant Colony Algorithm by means of particle swarm algorithm.Then the validity and convergence of the algorithm in fault location are analyzed by simulation.The simulation results show that the hybrid particle swarm/ant colony algorithm can accurately contain the DG distribution network fault section for accurate positioning,and through comparing with other ant particle swarm algorithm simulation,show the advantage of article ant particle swarm algorithm.The simulation results show that the algorithm can accurately locate the fault zone of distribution network with DG,and the algorithm is compared with other algorithms,which highlights its advantages.Finally,according to the characteristics of improved fault location algorithm,the design of distribution network fault location system with GPRS wireless communication is carried out,focusing on the data acquisition,data transmission,software interface of fault locating system,fault alarm and so on.
