In the modern building, steel structure is widely applied at home and abroad. The steel structure instability events have occurred,the steel structure is one of the main causes of instability of engineering quality accidents. The double limb lattice column as an important component of the steel structure system,the stability of research should be taken seriously. At the same time, the application of lattice column will be taken into consideration in its economy. Therefore, research on different cross sections of double limb column stability and economy, has a certain theoretical significance and application value.In this paper, double limb column stability as the research subject, using ANSYS finite element software for different section form lattice column for modeling and numerical analysis, with different component types, batten form, component spacing,section area, slenderness ratio as parameters, analysis of the double limb lattice with different cross section the stability of pillar plane, comparison of various influence factors under the double limb column stability. At the same time, the double limb column makes economic analysis and optimization design.The main contents include the following:In the first part, based on the domestic and international steel structure instability events, with the actual case of the steel structure instability problem as the background, referring to the domestic and foreign literature, this paper summarizes the research results of the stability of the lattice member.The second part of the buckling of steel structure in theory, made a brief combing, focuses on the problem of bending steel structure ideal buckling of struts,and the double limb column were calculated using the critical load energy method,which provided the theoretical basis for solving the stability analysis of the analytical value.The third part based on the analysis of nonlinear structure, component type for the double limb column different, batten form, component spacing, section area,slenderness ratio and other factors that affect the stability, established nine different models using the finite element software ANSYS.The fourth part will obtain the finite element calculation of the data analysis,draw the curve of critical force, comparative study of different factors under the influence of lattice column stability, the influence rules of different factors on the stability of the double limb column.In the optimization analysis of the double limb lattice column, the optimization angle of the strip layout is selected 45°. Analysis of stability of the grid columns above based on the economic structure of the double limb lattice columns with different cross sections were compared, put forward optimization suggestions. Finally, combining with the practical engineering, the component type and batten form two factors, through the double leg and four different types of lattice design the column, verify the conclusions of the analysis from two aspects of stability and economy, and get the corresponding optimization scheme.
