The collision of ships and locks is a complex problem involving multiple disciplines.This has become a common problem with the development of shipping and the standardization of ship type.The calculation of the collision force of the ship is still used in the current ?design specification of ship lock hydraulic structures?rather the problem of distribution characteristics of collision force of ship and ship lock is not only studied less.There is also a difference between the results.Therefore,it is necessary to systematically carry out the collision study between the ship and the lock in the numerical simulation.Firstly,the theory of collision theory at home and abroad and the result of the collision of the ship and the lock is reviewed.And the purpose and main content of this paper are presented.This paper discusses the basic theory and method of numerical simulation in ship collision analysis.The functional characteristics,theoretical foundation,material dynamic characteristics and content-interface friction of LS-DYNA were carried out.And then some common methods for improving calculation efficiency,accuracy and stability are proposed.Then this paper introduces the method of building a ship's calculating model,and the finite element simulation model of the ship lock and separation gravity lock is established.This paper mainly simulates the collision course of ship and integral and separation(gravity type)lock,and the distribution characteristics of striking force under different brake wall thickness and different brake wall materials are studied,and the following main conclusions are drawn:(1)The collision force of a ship will form a linear distribution region at the top of the brake wall.For the distribution area of the impact point,the thickness of the collision force is larger.In the area of the collision area,the distribution length of the collision area is not very different with the thickness of the brake wall.(2)Research different brake wall material influence on impact force distribution,found that when the brake wall using plain concrete,while increase the strength of concrete,the distribution of the impact force length changes little.When the reinforced concrete structure was adopted,the stress value of the wall surface of the brake wall increased significantly,and the length of the hitting force was decreased along the length of the brake wall.When the structure of slurry masonry was used,the stressvalue continued to increase and the distribution length continued to decrease.In conclusion,with the increase of the strength of the brake wall,the length of the hitting force is smaller.(3)Because of the different type of brake wall,the length of the hitting force varies.In the case of the same brake wall material,the ratio of the length Ly to the hit point depth y is around 2.50 for the integral structure rather in the compression area,Ly/y =2.17~2.81.(Its value decreases with the increase of the thickness of the brake wall and is approximately linear).In the case of gravity structure,as the thickness of the brake wall decreases,the value of Ly/y also varies,from 2.83 to 3.28.In general,the distribution of impact force on the gravity structure length is integral,and the finite element calculation results are specified value is larger than the specification formula,its conservative in the specification.
