Earthquake is a kind of destructive sudden natural disaster, and the strong vibration in a moment may bring devastating impact to a modern city.In recent years, with the development of earthquake resistance theory and seismic monitoring technology, the damage of structures under earthquake has been paid attention to scholars all over the world. As a new type of steel-concrete composite structure, steel reinforced concrete structure has excellent seismic performance and durability. In the steel reinforced concrete structure, the steel reinforced concrete frame column is the main lateral force resisting member, its damage degree under the earthquake has a direct impact on the safety of structure. In this paper, the seismic damage of steel reinforced concrete frame columns is studied, the main research contents and results are as follows:(1)In order to study the damage development and failure mechanism of the steel reinforced concrete frame column under earthquake, low cyclic loading experiment of four steel reinforced concrete frame columns has carried out.The parameters were taken into account by the influence of the axial compression ratio.Based on the measured load displacement curves and stress distribution, the damage development of steel reinforced concrete frame column under low cyclic loading is studied, and the influence of the axial compression ratio on the damage of the frame column is discussed.(2)Based on the existing seismic damage model, the damage indexes of the model are analyzed, and factors that affect the seismic damage of steel reinforced concrete frame column are determined.Based on the damage quantification of the test results,a seismic damage model based on the stiffness degradation and the cumulative hysteretic energy dissipation nonlinear combination of steel reinforced concrete frame column has proposed.(3)The influence of concrete strength and shear span ratio on the damage of frame column has studied by using finite element software ABAQUS.Comparing the results of the finite element analysis with the proposed seismic damage model, the rationality of the seismic damage model proposed in this paper is verified, which provides the theoretical basis for the seismic damage assessment of the steel reinforced concrete structure and the establishment of the seismic design method based on the damage.
