Semi-rigid base layer has excellent board body,high strength,convenient for local materials,and pricerite,but the erosion resistance is poor,so suitable as a high-grade road base or sub-base.However,due to the addition of additives in the aggregate with hydraulic materials,changes in the temperature and humidity conditions are likely to cause structural cracking.If the surface layer to promote cracks not only affect the driving comfort,but also lead to roughness,spalling and moisture infiltration at joins and cracks,and cracks widening under the action of hydrodynamic pressure,which seriously reduces the life expectancy of the overlay.In this paper,the pre-microcracking technology is used to control the occurrence of road surface cracking.On the basis of summarizing and analyzing the existing results,the method of indoor test is used to test the strength growth relationship of the specimen and the bending fatigue characteristics.It is concluded that the pre-microcracking measures can not only maintain the basic strength of the original specimen,but also reduce the deformation ability under the load of the vehicle.Furthermore,the paper discussed the multi-cracking model by the fracture mechanics principle and analyzed the damaged degree by the damage mechanics principle.At the last but not least,the mechanism of reducing the cracking of semi-rigid base layer is analyzed from the perspective of mesomechanics and energy change.Pretreatment of microcracking technology to deal with semi-rigid base,not only does not weaken the performance of the original material structure,but also reduce the ability to deal with external deformation.From the use of the entire cycle of life expectancy point of view,on the one hand,it extends the service life;on the other hand,it saves the cost of construction and maintenance.The pre-microcracking technology to cope with the road cracking is worth promoting a new method,new technology.
