Silicone rubber composite insulators are commonly used as a kind of insulator,but the silicone rubber composite insulators are prone to dry arc after chemical corrosion,which makes the insulator failure.In this work,the methyl-vinyl silicone rubber(SIR)blends with phenyl-silicone rubber(P-SIR)or fluorine-silicone rubber(F-SIR),the curing characteristics,mechanical property of the composites,dynamic mechanical property,insulation performance,hydrophobicity and hydrophobicity migration;SIR as the matrix was filled with aluminum hydroxide,smectite,boron nitride(BN),mica powder and carbon nanotubes(CNT),and research on the curing characteristics,mechanical property of the composite materials,insulation performance and hydrophobicity.The experimental results show that the composite base on the pure SIR has good comprehensive performance,but the performance of low temperature resistant and hydrophobicity are poorer than other composite materials;P-SIR composites has the best performance of low temperature resistant,can use at-50?,hydrophobicity and hydrophobicity migration are better,but the elongation at break of composites is low after blends with SIR;F-SIR composite has the best hydrophobic,but tensile strength is terrible.In addition,the composite filled with BN has the best insulation performance of the composite material,5% field strength failure possibility is 29.2kV/mm higher than that of pure SIR 11.7kV/mm,but the silicon rubber filled with BN reinforcing effect is less,only increase the elastic modulus of the composite.Almost no increase in elongation at break.When filled with a little CNT in the SIR,the mechanical property of the composites are almost identical,but the insulation property of the composites are greatly influenced.After adding 0.2phr CNT,50% field strength failure possibility decreased from 22.1kV/mm to 5.6kV/mm.With 0.02 phr CNT,because of the Kulun blocking effect,the insulation performance of the composite has significantly improved,the breakdown field strength increased from 17.3kV/mm to 20.8kV/mm when the failure possibility is 5%,its insulation property of the composite close to the composite filled with 100 phr aluminum hydroxide.
