The development of China's power system has been improved,but there are still a lot of problems need to be solved,including the search for a fast and effective and accurate positioning of a set of power distribution network fault detection and location system.Fault location of single phase to earth fault in distribution network is a complicated problem.Complex problem solving is a gradual realization of the process,it can not be achieved overnight.From simple to complex,step by step,and gradually improve.Therefore,this paper aims to propose a design and development of distribution network fault location device,in order to improve the domestic similar products;on this basis,through the installation and test on site,ensure the innovation and reliability of products in industrial application.This paper mainly studies the problem of single phase to earth fault location in distribution network,based on the understanding of the research status at home and abroad,fully understanding the difficulty of the problem.According to the characteristics of complex network,multi terminal lines,the voltage traveling wave positioning technology as a basis for analysis of network topology structure of distribution network,the establishment of mathematical model of traveling wave fault location,traveling wave propagation process in the understanding of distribution line.Based on the wave equation of transmission line,using the numerical solution of partial differential equations,the discrete format lossless line model and lossy line model were established respectively,and analyzes the stability of the discrete scheme,under various boundary conditions,a numerical experiment was carried out,and according to the distribution characteristics.Traveling wave fault location is the key factor to achieve the high accuracy of the traveling wave signal detection.At present,the domestic and foreign control and protection based on traveling wave mostly through the fault traveling wave signal extraction volume or the ground wire of the equipment from the two side of the transformer,the phase mode transformation line mode component of traveling wave is obtained as a protective component.In this paper,the hardware detection circuit to capture the fault line wave head,so as to achieve the effective simplification of hardware resources,saving the development of finished products,improve the reliability and accuracy of fault location and other advantages.Through the above research,this paper aims to propose a design and development of distribution network fault location device,in order to improve the domestic similar products;on this basis,through the installation and test on site,ensure the innovation and reliability of products in industrial application.
