In this paper,the generation mechanism,characteristics and control techniques of main equipment noise such as transformers and high voltage shunt reactors in domestic and foreign UHV substationsases were summarized.The advantages and disadvantages of softwares for substation noise prediction and evaluation were analyzed.On this basis,the equipment noise and background noise of UHV substation during normal operation,large load commissioning and line outage maintenance were systematically measured.The sound source intensity,acoustic spectral characteristics and attenuation characteristics of transformer and high voltage shunt reactor and their relationship with power load in UHV substation were obtained.The parameters for prediction of UHV transformers and shunt reactors were determined.At the same time,this paper elaborated the noise calculation method and the forecasting model of the UHV substation in detail,and taked the UHV Jingmen substation as an example,calculated the UHV transformer and high voltage shunt reactors noise,And the calculated results were compared with the measured results.The results show that:(1)The maximum sound pressure level of UHV transformer is about 80.0dB(A),which is influenced by the position and working condition of fans.The decay is slow with distance,and the mainnoise has a positive correlation with the power load.Under normal load,single-phase transformer sound power level is 102.7dB(A),which concentrated at the center frequency of 100,125,160,200 Hz 1/3 octave band.(2)The maximum sound pressure level of high voltage shunt reactors is about 78.0dB(A).The noise energy is mainly at the frequency band of 125 Hz.It has low frequency characteristics.It transmits through the open sides of the firewall.The attenuation is smaller,and the sound pressure level curve in the attenuation process was wavy.Under the normal load,the sound power level of the high-voltage shunt reactor is 96.8dB(A),and the reactor noise is not related to the power load in a certain range.(3)Using the measured sound source parameters,the noise calculation model was established by using Sound PLAN noise prediction software,and the noise distribution of UHV substation was calculated.The calculated results were in agreement with the measured results.These results provided the basic data for noise control and prediction of UHV substations,and the references for the noise prediction methods,models and related parameters of UHV substations were also provided,and offered technical support for planning and design of UHV substations and environmental impact assessment.In addition,this paper introduced noise control methods in the planning,design,construction and so on of the UHV substation,and put forward the optimization method of the substation location and the layout of the equipment.The emphasis of this paper was on basic principles and methods of noise reduction technology for UHV transformers and shunt reactors.The steps and technical methods of noise control and control in substations were described,and the methods for UHV substation noise control and management technical support were provided.
