Excitation system,the material component of synchronous generator,determine the quality of output voltage of the generator and further influence the safety and stability of power system.At present,almost all of self-parallel excitation are component with three-phase controlled bridge that comprised with vulnerable SCRs when it work in harsh environment.Especially,with the increasing demand of electric power in domain,large capacity generating sets are widely used.Excitation system with parallel connection that increases generating capacity was widely used as an important part of generating system.Therefore,the fault diagnosis strategy of large synchronous generator excitation system that based on the strategy aims at medium synchronous generator excitation system is particularly important.This topic proposes an improvement method to the traditional fault diagnosis methods,getting a set of new fault diagnosis method of the excitation power unit through the comprehensive analysis of overseas and domestic research status.This article comprehensively analyzes various fault forms of excitation system extremely the excitation power unit fault.And further presents a new multi-bridge excitation power unit fault diagnosis strategy.This topic build the model of excitation power unit with MATLAB-Simulink simulation platform firstly.Upon this platform,not only all fault situations but also normal situation are analyzed.Comparing the advantages and disadvantages of existing fault location methods,this article presents two kinds of fault location strategies: fault diagnosis strategy for the power unit of excitation system based on synchronous time-window method;fault diagnosis strategy for the power unit of excitation system based on wavelet method.Recognize that the fault diagnosis strategy for the power unit of excitation system based on synchronous time-window method is much more suitable for excitation power unit in medium generator set through real-time performance,accuracy and reliability.Secondly,on the basis of single excitation cabinet fault diagnosis method,multi-bridge excitation system fault diagnosis method has been proposed in this article that also based on the research of all working consideration on MATLAB-Simulink simulation platform.At the end,the DSP chip used TMS320F28335 was determined as the main micro-computer controller building the hardware structure and program development contrapose the fault diagnosis strategy of excitation system,and then conduct a test for excitation system with DSP equipped this strategy.Through the experiment,the real-time performance,accuracy of this strategy has been proved and achieves the goal of research and the expected results.
