The reactor protection system of nuclear power plant is used to control the reactor trips and the actions of safety related devices through the changes of the plant operating parameters, and to prevent the reactor from exceeding the safety limits, or to mitigate the consequences.According to the requirements of nuclear safety regulation, the protection system of nuclear plant must be tested periodically in order to verify whether its functions and performances conform to the requirements of responsibility design. But in the protection system of nuclear power plant, the signal cross comparison algorithm of Test 1 exists deficiencies, and this algorithm can't discriminate whether the redundant channels exists "four channels same-direction drift" or not.On the basis of researching Test 1 in detail, the thesis takes the signal cross comparison algorithm of Test 1 as object of the research. The mathematical model and computing process of this algorithm are demonstrated in detail. Based on the original mathematical model, the improved method is proposed. Improved algorithm achieves the function of discriminanating "four channels same-direction drift" and has a certain reference value. The concrete achievements are as follows:(1) Massive related literatures about Test 1 of the reactor protection system in nuclear power plant were read. Based on the mathematical model of original signal cross comparison algorithm,the thesis proposes deficiencies. At the same time,the thesis proposes "designing standard channel" and an equation of "four channels same-direction drift" to achieve the improvement.(2) Relying on the verification platform of China Guangdong Nuclear Power Design Institute, Test 1 was finished to design. By PCTRAN software, the collection of actual-time data was finished. At the same time, according to the indexes of precision about the nuclear safety important instruments, the standard deviations of mathematical model were finished to design.(3) Test 1 was finished and the data results were analyzed. The experiment results show that: the improved algorithm not only meets the original functions, but also can discriminate "four channels same-direction drift". These prove that the improved algorithm has feasibility.
