Solid rocket motor (SRM) grain design is an important part in the process of rocket motor design, and the main performances are seriously affected by variation of the internal ballistic performance of SRM, so the research of the design for the SRM grain and the calculation of the internal ballistic is still the key for many studies.For the wide applications of the modeling software in various fields, they are widely used in the research of the design for the SRM grain and the calculation of the internal ballistic. With the full application of the functions and the secondary development of the modeling software, the design for the SRM grain and the calculation of the internal ballistic were studied. The paper based on the software of Pro/E and the Qt develops a software interface to realize the design of the SRM grain, the calculation of the internal ballistic and exchange the datas with the commercial CFD software. Integration is realized. The simulation platform can mainly realize such functions as follows:(1) Parametric design for the typical model of the SRM grain and loading the data file exported by Pro/E. This function can quickly create the typical grain with different parameters, load the OBJ file exported by Pro/E and display the model.(2) Calculation of the internal ballistic for SRM grain. The platform developed in this paper can realize the accurate calculation of the variation of burning area of grain model and the pressure in the combustor chamber with the burning time in the combustion process.(3) With the script file, datas can be exchanged among the platform, ICEM and FLUENT software. The typical grain created by the platform can be loaded and generate the mesh automatically by ICEM, and the mesh file can be loaded by FLUENT.With the platform, the designer can quickly design the typical SRM grain and calculate the internal ballistic. And then, the mesh for the typical grain can be generated by ICEM automatically,this can improve the work efficiency and shorten the period of the design of the grain and the calculation of the internal ballistic. Tests of the platform indicate its independence, with practical, human-computer interaction and easy usability. Compared with the area of the burning surface in the Pro/E and the pressure with the area, the result of the platform has a minor error, which meet the engineering requirements and provide reliable support for the design of the SRM.
