Most reclamation engineering in southeast coast of Zhejiang is built on silt foundation.Because of the poor engineering characteristics of silt soil,different foundation treatment methods and upper load will easily cause the excessive settlement and differential settlement of the building and further cause the potential disaster during engineering.Therefore,on the basis of a reclamation engineering located in southeast Zhejiang coastal,this paper chose somewhere with typical silt foundation through collecting the representative geological survey data and related design reports.And by adopting the finite element software MIDAS GTS NX,this paper simulated the seawall and sluice construction process to research the settlement property in their construction and post-construction and it is of theoretical and practical significance to solve differential settlement of the seawall and sluice.The main work includes the following aspects:(1)Geological conditions in southeast coast of Zhejiang and typical engineering geological condition in study area were summarized by geological survey data on representative embankment engineering and related design reports.(2)Finite element basic principle of Biot consolidation theory finite were summarized in this paper.The sand drains were transformed into sand foundation wall with considering well resistance,role of seepage and daub.The problem of the parameter selection about plastic drain board was discussed and applied in the simulation successfully.(3)Some numerical simulation parameters were got through the triaxial test.According to the practical situation,the plane strain model was established with the finite element software MIDAS GTS NX to simulate the Seawall and sluice construction process.Settlement characteristics of silt foundation were researched through the results of numerical simulation.(4)The method of hyperbola,exponential curve and star field were summarized and used to make a prediction of seawall final settlement.After compared with the data of actual seawall section monitoring,the prediction results were consistent with data from the hyperbola method.(5)The results of analysis show that the adjusting connection part of cement mixing pile of pile length,pile spacing and the pile diameter had a better effect on controlling the connecting section settlement and the effect of the pile spacing is the best.
