| With the social development,People’s demands for dining environment are higher and higher.Besides meeting the dining needs,the dining space has become the place for people to relax,have an enjoyment and communicate with each other.Its mental function has risen to be the main needs.People need the environment that should be elegant and comfortable,have a cultural taste,personality characteristics and a comfortable atmosphere to make people gain spiritual enjoyment.Therefore,various theme spaces have come into being.However,for the designers,how to make the dining space different from others and add some new elements is the key point that they have to deal with.China,as an ancient country with a long history,has a profound traditional culture.People from all over the world are attracted by Chinese writing,painting,sculpture,etc.The Chinese classical element is a special landscape and a valuable asset of the oriental culture.Chinese classical element has a wide range of topics,rich contents,diverse forms,and has been widely spread,so it can not be replaced by other art forms.Recently in the art world,the rapidly developing Chinese food culture has begun emerging on the world stage,hoping to challenge itself and improve itself while meeting the international standards.The challenge is to reflect Chinese traditional cultural spirit and to show our national character in modern indoor space environment design,and then create a design style which has national characteristics and conforms to the era.The designers should combine the Chinese traditional culture which has a long history with the modern life style in the modern environment design so that they can put the ancient elements into the modern design,replace the stale with the new elements and create the unique style of environmental design.Combining the use of Chinese classical elements with the design of dining space can not only make people feel the beauty of Chinese culture,but also make people relaxed and enjoyable.Applying the traditional elements into the modern dining space design can not only inherit the national culture,but also reflect people’s higher material and spiritual pursuit.This paper mainly used the literature review method,Feature retrieval method,case analysis method and summary method to study how to apply Chinese classical elements into the dining space theme and to analyze the case of the neo-Sichuan-style restaurant Shuditaoyuan.Therefore,how to apply the Chinese classical elements into the dining space theme is the key point of this thesis.First of all,this thesis gives the definition of Chinese classical elements and theme dining space.And then,this thesis makes a deep analysis on Chinese classical elements,including its form,content,developing process and its application in our life.Moreover,this thesis illustrates the types and methods of creating the dining space,and analyzes the classic cases,such as Beijing Nine Dynasty Restaurant,Hangzhou Tiandi Restaurant and the Eight Restaurant in Macao.The thesis also summarizes the designing steps,designing principles,designing methods and some problems that should be noticed.Finally,the thesis takes a Sichuan restaurant as an example,analyzes the designing background and some problems in the design and gives a summary on how to apply the classical elements into the design of theme dining space,hoping to provide some suggestion and basis for the future design of theme dining space. |
