Research On Urban Riparian Landscape Design

Since ancient times,riparian zone has being the place for view and admire,which enriched the city landscape.Urban development changed the manner of people's activities,and had a impact on riparian zone's landscape pattern.Today,riparian zone is not only a place for view and admire,but the palce playing more functions.However,the situation of the riparian landscape is varying quality,which is contributed to waste of riparian space.Therefore,the design is aim to play multiple functions.The paper summarizes the concept of urban riparian landscape,which can ont only keep ecosystems intact,but can exhibit the features of the city.The landcape should meet the requests for nature and culture,including safty,ecology,aesthetics,culture and recreation.Structure is the foundation of functions,which made up elements.According to these functions,the elements and structure are being request.This article selects the river with typical functions,such as Xiaoyue River,the river in Dadu City Wall Relics Park and in The scenic spot of Beauty in West of Jishuitan.Based on the survey and analyses to structures and elements of those,the result shows that they can mainly content with funtion which cann't consideration to both functions.Combination with the literature research and investigation to the case,the paper draw design principles and points of riparian landscape.The design of riparian landscape should from the respects of physical structure,organic texture and artificial facilities structure,following the principle of the security principle,the applicability principle,the ecological principle,the aesthetic principle and the public participation principle.According to the above that the landscape elements and structures,based on the functions,it is concluded the design points riparian landscape.In the case design phase,the article chose the riparian landscape of moat in beijing as the case,Based on the design principles and methods,combine the current situation of narrow,great gradient which has high requirement to the flood control and Poor environmental conditions,the planning and design need to work from the physical structure,biological structure and artificial facilities structure.
