Lots of loads are Mill equipment in San Yuan Aluminum Co.,Ltd.They are impact of large on the grid and causing system power factor to be low,also causing waste of energy.It can save energy,reduce production cost and enhance the system voltage stability to compensate reactive power for the field devices.Paper designed a low-voltage dynamic reactive compensation device.It could track system reactive power fast and achieve to cast capacitor banks at zero current.Firstly,energy conservation is analyzed about reactive power Compensator in the paper.It is necessary to do that.Paper provides an overview of reactive power Compensator principle.Reactive power device can get fast responsiveness by choosing SCR as a switch.Paper uses the power factor and reactive power as a control object to ensure device to act accurately.The capacity of reactive power Compensation device is calculated detailed and allocated reasonable according to Weifang San Yuan Aluminum Co.,Ltd actual situation.Specifications of each component of the primary circuit are selected carefully.Secondly,Paper designs reactive power compensator device controller hardware and software components and switching circuit boards too.The controller uses the superior performance of chip TMS320F2812 as a control chip and switching circuit boards use model XC3 S50-4FTG100C Xilinx FPGA chip.Power circuit,signal acquisition circuit the voltage zero-crossing detection circuit,driver circuit triggered thyristor are designed carefully.System versatility is enhanced and is relatively easy to maintain by using C langue programming for software.Paper designs a reasonable switching logic which can effectively prevent the generation of switching shocks.Finally,device runs at the scene and cast the capacitor bank at the time of zero voltage across the thyristor.In that case,there is not the impact of current on the line.The device runs in a good condition according to the compensator in result under different processes and analyzing the field date.The device can compensate reactive power rapidly and accurately.The power factor of system is up to more than 0.92.Design goals are archived at last according.The field power quality has been improved greatly.
