Ultrasonic measurement is an important method Occasions in non-destructive measurement.Feature of workpiece about internal defects and thickness could be get from position and waveform of ultrasonic echo.Currently,ultrasonic nondestructive measurement is used in fishing,marine and undersea industry and other fields widely.Currently,due to a variety of commercially available ultrasonic thickness complex operation,expensive,however,which is labored to measure underwater target thickness.For current existing problems and deficiencies about ultrasonic thickness gauge.Designed a ultrasonic thickness gage of FPGA(Model for EP2C5T144)as main chip,combined with high-precision A/D analog to digital converter,achieve small size,high precision,real-time thickness measurement needs.In this system.hardware circuits are designed by adopting module.Achieve ultrasonic transmit and receive?amplifies?filters?data acquisition and display functions and so on.Hardware modules uses high-precision,low noise devices,using kinds of testing to reduce noise and improve measurement accuracy to improve the accuracy of results.Simulations of timing control?thickness detection algorithm and so on are completed by Quartus ? that FPGA special design software.Verify correctness of the design.After hardware and software design finished,in order to analyze the measured data,it is necessary to test and verifly the performance of each module of system.Results show that the thickness measurement system can meet the ability to detect underwater objects thickness,high-precision and reliability.Improved intelligence and automation of thickness measurement system,There is some reference value in engineering applications.
