Deployable structure is a kind of structure that constructed by basic elements,which can be changed smoothly between unfold and deployed status so that it has great portability in deployed status and works effectively in unfold status.Due to the characteristics of deployable structure,it has been widely used in aerospace field,such as solar panels,large satellite antenna etc.It also has a lot of application examples in the field of architecture,sometimes even in art area.First,the basic principle and construction method of the straight rod scissor-like element are analyzed in this paper,then a stiffness model is proposed.Next,the movement character of angulated element is analyzed.With regard to two different angulated elements,the structure property and kinematic characteristic of them are analyzed.At last the structure assemble principle of the two angulated elements are summarized.Second,for the straight rod scissor-like element and the spherical scissor-like element,their structure characters are analyzed while the joints of the two elements are in several different connection ways.Then,the generalized kinematic model of straight rod scissor-like element is proposed.Based on the model,for a special situation,the kinematic model of circular path deployable structure is built.Finally,based on the straight rod scissor-like element,a deployable arm quadcopter is designed.Furthermore,based on the congruent isosceles triangle angulated element,a diameter alterable wheel is designed.For this two application examples,their structure design method,parameters calculating way and global mechanic analysis are compeleted.The research in structure principle of several basic elements of deployable structure is deeply conducted in this paper.By changing the connection ways,building kinematic models and proposing new applications,the foundation for deployable structure's designing and kinematic analysis are provided,and also,the vision for more application in different fields is expanded.
