NEMO(Network Mobility), as an extension of Mobile IPv6, has been used in many fields, ie: vehicle networking, aerospace and aeronautical communication, etc, because it can move as a whole. On account of the high speed, broad scope and unstable track of plane, aeronautical communications may face some problems when uses traditional protocols of NEMO or multicast. One is that the handoff of standard protocols which are triggered by the reception of the received signal strength may not be triggered in time when the plane moves rapidly. It can also interrupt the multicast service, and reduce the continuity of service. The other is the high end-to-end packet transfer delay that caused by the triangle routing which due to the nested-NEMO architecture and the large geographic distance between on-board mobile nodes and their home agents when the planes fly globally. This problem will increase the transmission delay, packets loss and lower the utilization of communication bandwidth. This paper mainly focuses on the following researches:A seamless multicast handover scheme based on proxy is proposed for NEMO to improve the continuity of multicast service in aeronautical communication. Be different from traditional pre-registration scheme that depend on the reception of the received signal strength, it is in combination with aircraft's fly plan, models aircraft flight condition and predicts the next base station that aircraft will access, and by caching the multicast data in advance to achieve seamless handover. Furthermore, the handover scheme has two mode: predictive mode and reactive mode, correspond to the situations that there is sufficient time to complete forecast before L2 handover and there is no time before L2 handover. At last, we build the mobile model and the analytical framework, and the Simulation results show the advantages of the handover costs and the end-to-end delay. The other is that multicast route optimization for nest-NMEO in aeronautical communications, which researches nest NEMO route optimization problems on the basis of scheme 1. The scheme is divided into two stages: binding update operation and route optimization. The scheme utilizes the route information tables to record the IP address and the multicast information. And in the route optimization procedure, LMA is as the proxy of mobile nodes to join the related multicast groups, and then route the multicast packets to the mobile nodes. The proposed scheme eliminates the concept of nested logically and solves the triangle routing problem. In addition, LMA and MAG only need to process one copy of the multicast data, so it can save the resource of bandwidth and reduce the pressure of nodes. At last, the simulation results show that it can reduce end-to-end delay significantly.
