Deployable structure,as an important component,plays an irreplaceable role in the aerospace and other fields.With the rapid development of aerospace technology,the outer space task is more complex than before and the capacity of the transportation system is limited.There is no doubt that those factors have limited the development of the traditional deployable structure.So facing such challenges we must solve the extremely urgent problem which involve how to design a new type of deployable structure with advantages such as light quality,simple structure,high reliability and large contraction expansion ratio.Various phenomena of nature often give us a lot of inspiration.Inspired from the Idea leuconoe's wings expansion in the process of its eclosion development,we can apply the mechanism to the design of the deployable structure to study a new type of deployable structure.This novel idea can open up a new path to develop the deployable structure.This paper mainly study how to apply this development mechanism to design a new type of deployable structure.The main research content are as follows:Firstly,through observing the phenomenon of the Idea leuconoe's eclosion development and dissecting the pupa stage and adult stage of the Idea leuconoe,we found the changes in the wings' tissue and characteristics of the wings in the process of the eclosion development.We also explored the key factors which influences the process of the eclosion and work out the mechanism of the development finally.Secondly,according to the characteristics of the eclosion development,we ed the principle of the eclosion.Combined with the morphological structure of the Idea leuconoe,we established the model of the structure.We carried on finite element analysis and calculation of the theory and simulated the process of the extension.Through the results we realized the extension of the initial model.Thirdly,due to the model is in accordance with the Idea leuconoe,the structure of the model is so complex.Considering the practical engineering application,we optimized the model and carried on the finite element analysis including static analysis in microgravity,modal analysis,response spectrum analysis,vibration analysis and harmonious response analysis.Based on the analysis results we proved out that the model has good mechanical properties.Finally,according to the results of the simulation analysis,we determine the characteristic parameters of the material properties and structure,and manufactured the prototype.Meanwhile,we completed inflatable experiment of the prototype.Through the experiment process and results,we verify the feasibility of the structure.
