With the rapid development and widely use of computer simulation technology,senor technology,artificial intelligence,virtual technology had further application in the field of aerospace,military,medicine,entertainment,interior design,industrial simulation,cultural relics,rail transportation and others.Especially in some dangerous situation,large size project,equipment that highly cost in use and maintenance,special area existing repeatedly operation,virtual reality has huge space to be applied.Therefore,some enterprises and research institutions have invested in research and plenty of products and technologies appeared.Such as virtual assembly,virtual repairing,virtual driving,virtual vehicle simulation system,virtual medical research.As its realistic texture,conveniently interactive,the virtual reality gradually been widely application.Automobile engine assembly fit in with the characteristics of virtual reality technology.Combing with the Human-Computer interactive design,3D modeling technology,program design,the theory of automobile engine assembly and other knowledge,eventually,the author designed and implemented "The design of automobile engine assembly platform based on virtual technology".The main progresses and conclusions of this design are listing in the following description:(1)Complete demand analysis of structuring automobile engine virtual assembly platform.Based on the analysis of the demand of the engine theory course in vocational colleges,training institutions and research and development companies,the basic functions of the assembly platform are summarized.Analysed the environment requirements,time requirements and precision requirements of virtual assembly platform,make sure that the virtual assembly platform keeps high efficiency,authenticity and practicality in application,and finally complete the design of the virtual assembly platform system.(2)The modeling method of engine virtual assembly platform based on 3D Max.The size,shape and complexity of these components of the engine model,troubleshooting tool model are different.Based on the respective characteristics of each model,this design used geometric modeling,image based modeling method and hybrid modeling method to restructure the engine model.(3)Design of virtual assembly platform based on Unity engine.Through the i Tween.path to create demonstration routes of engine structure disassembly and assembly in the assembly scene,collision detection technology to create interactive scene in manual disassembly,database record disassembly steps to crate check system,complete the display of the function of platform.Through combining the above theory of technology,constructed an engine assembly simulation platform that the visual real-time rendering and realistic.The platform could solve several issues,such as the limited of traditional training site,the limited of equipment and capital,serious equipment wear problem and other issues.The research results have significant in fact in theory study of structure of automobile engine in the integration process of theory and realistic in vocational colleges,important application value to study independently and company training.
