Sector tilting pad thrust bearing is regarded as the research object in this dissertation.Based on the hydrodynamic lubrication theory,the mechanical model of the static and dynamic characteristics of the thrust bearing are established.The influence of different bearing parameters on the static and dynamic characteristics of the thrust bearing is discussed by numerical method.After considering the influence of the excitation frequency,the dynamic characteristics of the thrust bearing is analyzed.The main contents and conclusions are summarized as follows:(1)The finite difference method is used to calculate the lubrication characteristics of the thrust bearing.The influence of different structural parameters on the oil film pressure,film thickness and carrying capacity are studied.The results show that the oil film pressure,bearing capacity and friction force of the thrust bearing are gradually increased with the increase of pad circumferential inclination,pad radial inclination and pad angle,but the thickness of the oil film decrease gradually,and the lubrication characteristic of bearing is improved;When the support position of pad moves from the oil inlet to the export and the number of pad increases,the oil film pressure,the carrying capacity,the friction are gradually decrease and the oil film thickness gradually increased.(2)The dynamic Reynolds equation of thrust bearing is established by the finite difference method with the small perturbation.The influence of different structure parameters on the stiffness and damping coefficient of oil film are studied.The results show that the stiffness and damping coefficient of oil film increase gradually with the increase of pad circumferential inclination,pad radial inclination and pad angle;When the support position of bush moves from the oil inlet to the export,the stiffness and damping coefficient of oil film decrease gradually;When the circumferential inclination of the bearing bush is large,the stiffness and damping coefficient of oil film have a great change with the variation of structure parameters of the bearing pad,which has a great influence on the stability of the thrust bearing(3)Based on the perturbation method,the mathematical model of the dynamic characteristics of the thrust bearing under the influence of the axial frequency is established.The influence of different parameters on the stiffness and damping coefficient of the oil film of the thrust bearing is analyzed.The results show that the oil film stiffness of the thrust bearing increases gradually with the excitation frequency increases,and the damping coefficient decreases.The stiffness and damping coefficient of the oil film increase gradually with the increase of pad circumferential inclination,pad radial inclination and pad angle;When the support position of pad moves from the oil inlet to the export,the stiffness and damping coefficient of oil film decrease gradually.
