For high voltage circuit breaker having a large loading force and complex structure, it is not benefit to reliability experimental study. In order to study the mechanical reliability of transmission mechanism of high voltage circuit breaker, In this paper, the main contact mechanism of transmission mechanism is mainly studied, and the equivalent model design of the main contact mechanism of the transmission mechanism of the circuit breaker is studied by similarity theory. This provides a new way for the laboratory to study the reliability of the transmission mechanism of the high voltage circuit breaker, and it has an important engineering application value. The main contents of this paper are as follows:Firstly, the kinematics and dynamics of the main contact mechanism are analyzed, and combined with the knowledge of mass replacement, the equivalent design of the main contact mechanism is completed, The kinematics and dynamics characteristics of the equivalent main contact mechanism and the contact mechanism are compared with ADAMS. The results show that the equivalent main contact mechanism and the contact mechanism is equivalent in the dynamic characteristics.Based on the similarity theory, the similar model of the equivalent main contact mechanism is carried out. Using the method of equation analysis and dimensional analysis, the corresponding relation between the prototype and similar model of the physical quantities of the equivalent main contact mechanism is obtained. In order to verify the correctness of the similarity relation, the dynamic stress of the main contact mechanism connecting rod is analyzed, and the correctness of the similarity between the prototype and the model dynamic characteristics of the main contact mechanism is verified by ADAMS; Using ADAMS and ANSYS simulation, The connecting rod of the original contact mechanism and the prototype of the equivalent main contact mechanism and the similar model of the equivalent main contact mechanism meet the similarity relationship of dynamic stress.According to the vibration characteristics of equivalent main contact mechanism,the similarity relationship of modal characteristics between the prototype of the main contact mechanism and the similar model is studied, The modal similarity relationship between the prototype and the similar model of the equivalent main contact mechanism is obtained. And the simulation results are verified by Workbench software, the results show the correctness of the analysis results. The study provides reference for the design and improvement to the circuit breaker transmission mechanisms, and it is helpful to engineering application.
