With the development of automobile technology,automobile industry has entered a stage of rapid development,with the continuous increasing requirements of environmental protection,energy conservation and emission reduction has become the most crucial task for traditional automobile engine field,and the most economical and effective way is equipping the engine with turbocharger technology.Along with the popularization of turbocharger technology,the proportion of automotive turbocharged engine is increasing fast,the vehicle equipped with turbocharger bring great technical advantages,at the same time the problem of noise of turbocharged engine has become more and more prominent,especially in the case of arranging the turbocharger in the behind of engine,in which the distance between the turbocharger and the cab is short,the transmission path of noise is short too,what brings out the noise of turbocharger is easy to transmit to cab reducing the degree of driving comfort.At the same time,to improve low speed performance of engine,the engine is often required to achieve maximum torque calibration while at a lower speed,the turbocharger should provide more boost pressure,but if the engine works at a low speed,the small turbocharger will work at a high speed,which will brings out more obvious noise.Firstly,this paper introduces the related information of turbocharger,including the product characteristics and the research status of noise control,in the same time summary the type of noise and cause.On the basis of this,the paper studies the noise problem of a turbocharger after equipped with vehicle.Through the comparison test,it is found that the individual difference of turbocharger will affect the noise of vehicle.At the same time,the noise performance of the same turbocharger will be different for different vehicles.Then,we find out the cause of noise,and confirm its type is Whoosh noise.Finally,based on the optimization of mechanical structure of turbocharger and air intake system of vehicle,it effectively improve the problem of Whoosh noise in the vehicle,increase the degree of driving comfort,provide experience for noise control in the follow-up project.
