| Metal rubber material has excellent mechanical and physical properties.Selecting metal rubber material made by special wire can meet the requirement of long lifetime in extreme conditions.However,the theory of using metal rubber material into the field of sealing is not comprehensive,and the research on the reliability of the metal rubber seal is not deep.This paper focuses on the metal rubber seals applied in static sealing system,and the research on the failure and performance degradation of seal has been made with the method of test and simulation.The sealing failure of metal rubber seal in the static sealing system has been analyzed.According to the structure of static sealing system and the condition characteristics of metal rubber seal,the failure characteristics such as damage and wear to the seal have been analyzed,and then the sealing failure model of strength failure model and degradation failure model have been establishedBased on the metal rubber seal sealing model,the Mises stress and contact stress distribution on the contact interface in different compression ratio and the thickness of coating layer have been analyzed by using the software of ANSYS,and then the failure of seal has been determined.The comparison of the seal’s atress with and without oil working has been made.The static test of the seal has been conducted.By taking the contact stress for reference,the simulation results with test data have been compared.Combining with the characteristics of static sealing test device and the regulation of leakage level,the failure threshold of metal rubber seal has been calculated.The linear regression model of the seal has been established after the degradation test under the constant stress conducted.Based on the theory of linear regression,the regression analysis of the metal rubber seal’s degradation data has been finished,and its linear degree has been verified.Based on the degradation data and the pseudo failure lifetime respectively,the reliability of the seal has been analyzed,and the distribution of the seal’s lifetime has been tested in this process,and then the two reliability functions in different models have been compared.The performance degradation tests under the different stress level have been conducted by introducing the variables of temperature and pressure.The relationship between the leakage rate and the multiple factors has been analyzed,and the prediction formula of seal’s leakage rate has been established.The prediction of the metal rubber seal’s lifetime has been made with the data of leakage rate under the different stress level,and its correctness has been verified. |
