High-performance concrete,as the multi-functional concrete of the new era, plays an important role in the important engineering field instead of ordinary concrete. However, under the condition of the high temperature by the fire, burst damage is more likely occurred of high-performance concrete than those of normal concrete.By making comparison of duration of fire resistance under the fire environment of 6 high performance and ordinary axial compression columns within 3 kinds of different maintenance cycles and its experimental phenomena and test data, the author will discuss moisture content and concrete strength on the relationship of the explosion of concrete, and draw some regularity conclusions.1)With the same strength of concrete, the higher moisture the column contains, the more serious burst damage will occur in its component, and vise versa. With the same curing duration, the higher strength the concrete has, more obvious the burst will be.2)With the increase of temperature, the vertical deformation of axial compression columns will go through a process from upward expansion to downward shrink.3)With the increase of curing duration, the depth of blowout of high-performance reinforced concrete column and ordinary reinforced concrete column gradually become consistent. That means the condition of burst is relative to the limits of moisture content.Only when the moisture content reaches a certain value, and then the burst will happen.4)With the same curing duration, ordinary axial compression columns will take longer time to reach the fire endurance than high-performance concretes in fire.
