Power cable as a very important transmission line equipment in urban construction applications can be seen everywhere, and its laying way and the environment have become increasingly complex with the development of the city. There is a big discrepancy between the traditional cable carrying capacity calculation parameters and the actual operation of the cable, causing the cable carrying capacity of the theoretical value does not match the actual value. In addition, the laying of cable environment is complex and the laying way is various, so different situations determine the laying of the cable carrying capacity, thus determine the cable operation and maintenance, and many other economic and reliability. Therefore, the efficiency of cable use will be improved greatly and the project cost of the body will be reduced if we can calculate a relatively accurate cable ampacity according to the laying of power cables, the surrounding environment and the impact of cable laying. The complex laying environment of cables cannot be simulated accurately using the traditional cable carrying capacity calculation. In this paper, the calculation of the carrying capacity of power cables and the analysis of the factors affecting the current carrying capacity are further studied.First of all, it analyzes the influence factors of cable carrying capacity, from the internal and external aspects of cable analysis, focusing on analysis from external factors, summed up the cable carrying capacity and cable laying methods, environmental temperature and other necessary links.Secondly, the calculation method of the real temperature of the cable conductor is obtained and the cable temperature calculation model is constructed, using the cable structure, the loss parameters and the parameters of the cable laying environment,The influence factors of the cable carrying capacity are obtained according to the cable laying method in the project. Then the cable laying method is optimized according to the practical engineering application.Thirdly, the optimal scheme is obtained according to the comparison of the electric current carrying capacity of different arrangement methods. The cable cross-section is as small as possible and the most laying method is adopted.
