Reinforced concrete piers are prone to damage under the action of seismic load.As an important load-bearing component of the bridge,the safety and stability of the pier are related to the safety of the bridge structure.If the main load-bearing components of the structure are seriously damaged and difficult to repair,the structure needs to be demolished for reconstruction even if it has not collapsed.From the aspect of earthquake prevention and disaster prevention,the reinforced concrete bridge pier should have enough bearing capacity and good ductility to ensure the safety of the structure and to consume the earthquake energy,so as to avoid the damage caused by the earthquake.There are many influencing factors on the ductility of reinforced concrete piers,the influence of reinforcement on the ductile seismic performance of the pier is analyzed by numerical simulation in this paper,the main contents and conclusions are as follows:(1)Typical case of pier failure in history and development of research on seismic performance of pier are introduced in this paper,and the main methods and contents of ductility seismic performance analysis are summarized.According to the test data of reinforced concrete columns subjected to low cyclic reversed loading in the American Pacific Earthquake Research Center(PEER-Structural Performance Database),the effect of longitudinal reinforcement ratio on ductility of reinforced concrete columns is analyzed.(2)Based on the actual project engineering,the longitudinal reinforcement ratio simulation parameters are set and the ABAQUS finite element analysis software is used for the low cycle repeated simulation analysis.By changing the ductility of the specimen after changing the reinforcement ratio of the longitudinal reinforcement,it can be seen that the displacement ductility coefficient decreases with the increase of the reinforcement ratio,and the energy dissipation capacity decreases,while the stiffness increases.According to theperformance of the specimen,the reinforcement ratio is set to 0.82%~3.28%.(3)By analyzing the influences on ductility of the cylindrical piers with different longitudinal reinforcement ratio and stirrup ratio,the bearing capacity of the piers will increase result from the increase of the longitudinal reinforcement ratio,and the larger the stirrup ratio,the more obvious the effect of improvement.In consideration of convenient construction,a reasonable choice bar form should be chosen.
