Gear is the transmission part which is often used in the industry and its accuracy directly affects the stability and efficiency of transmission. Gear error measurement technology research has always been an important issue.In this paper, the development of gear error measurement technology at home and abroad is studied, and a set of cylindrical gear error measurement and control system based on cylindrical coordinate method is designed after comparing the advantages and disadvantages of various measuring methods and combining with the existing experimental conditions. Firstly,the mathematical model of tooth profile deviation, helix deviation and pitch deviation measurement based on cylindrical coordinate method is established and the selection of sampling points for deviation measurements is designed. The mathematical model of gear error measurement is established; The design of the measuring machine is completed. The design of the whole machine includes two parts which including the mechanical system and the electrical system. The micro-device in the mechanical system is studied and the structure design work is completed. The design of the electrical hardware system is completed with the motion control card as the core; Then, the structure and function of measurement and control software are analyzed and the speed ratio of the linkage axis used in the measurement is studied. The design of each module measurement program is completed using C++ language, the Windows application software with good interactive interface is written by MFC. A reliable measurement and control software is developed and a complete measurement and control system is set up;Measuring and analyzing the system's repeated positioning error, and studying its influence on the measurement of gear error. Analyzing the error term contained in the indication of the micrometer and develop a reasonable solution to compensate for the error; Finally, according to the experimental design process, three deviations of the gear are measured. Using MATLAB to deal with the experimental data to get the data curve chart and the gear error is obtained after processing experimental data. The whole system is built and the feasibility of cylindrical gear error measurement based on cylindrical coordinate is analyzed by experimental data.This paper completes the design and construction of the gear error measurement and control system based on the cylindrical coordinate method. The feasibility of the cylindrical gear error measurement system based on the cylindrical coordinate method is verified by experiments. This paper provides a theoretical basis for later research.
