Research on maintenance and reinforcement of old buildings and damaged structural components which can not meet the construction function is becoming one of the hot issues in the field of engineering research.In this paper, crack width of reinforced concrete columns as damage index, designed a total of four groups of specimens were crack width Omm, 0.3 mm, 1.0mm and 1.5 mm, for damaged reinforced concrete columns were steel wire reinforcement and carried out experimental research on axial compression, The results showed that the steel wire around the damaged reinforced concrete columns under axial load capacity is improved slightly, damaged reinforced concrete columns under axial load carrying capacity is inversely-proportional relationship to the degree of damage, However, the ductility of reinforced concrete columns can be improved by increasing the load-displacement curve, the strain of longitudinal reinforcement, the strain of stirrups and the strain of concrete.Based on the results of the material test, the nonlinear constitutive model of the steel bar,the steel wire and the concrete is determined. Based on this, the finite element test model of the damaged reinforced concrete column is established. By comparing the finite element calculation results with the experimental results, The correctness of the finite element test model is verified, And further development of the crack width of 0.7mm, 1.2 mm, the ultimate bearing capacity corresponding crack width and the crack width corresponding to the load dropped to 80% of the damaged reinforced concrete columns around the steel wire axial compressive simulation, The results show that when the width of the crack is 0-1.5mm, the bearing capacity of the winded steel wire reinforced concrete columns will be improved, And to achieve the ultimate bearing capacity after reinforcement, its bearing capacity can not be further improved; Compared with the non-reinforced and non-damaged reinforced concrete columns, the ductility of the RC columns with the damage and reinforcement is greatly improved, and the ductility is inversely proportional to the increase of the damage degree.After the ultimate bearing capacity is reached, the RC column is strengthened, and the enhancement of theirs ductility is not obvious.In this paper, the damaged RC columns were be strengthened by winding steel wire and carried out experimental research and numerical simulation analysis, Some conclusions are obtained, which provide theoretical and practical reference value for the wire winding of the actual components.
