With the gradual development of China’s economic construction and the implementation of the strategy for the development of the western region, the construction of infrastructure in the western region has set off a climax, and it has become inevitable to dig out the problem of high fill. In the loess area, most of the disasters caused by loess landslides are caused by rainfall, and rainfall is especially important to the loess slope and filling works. In this paper, the movement of water in compacted loess is studied around the process of rainfall infiltration, and the following works are mainly carried out:(1) According to the principle of loess resistivity measurement, were studied in the laboratory different moisture content and different degree of compaction loess, mainly for temperature and mass moisture content, saturation, compactness of specimens under variation of resistivity, established the calculation model of initial saturation resistivity and initial formula.(2) In different degree of compaction, the establishment of the loess soil water characteristic curve, the Loess resistivity is linked through suction and saturation, the graph of relation between the Loess suction and resistivity has been made of the size of the two, was obtained by the function relationship between the two according to the curve.(3) Developed a new test equipment, the conductivity and soil water characteristic of loess is applied to a test system, some characteristics in order to further reveal the loess, and attemptsfrom the soil resistivity to understand the microscopic view of loess moisture migration regularity and structure evolution.(4) Using the developed test equipment, in the optimum moisture content of loess under different sample rate, degree of compaction, the simulated rain type under different intervals of time, the sample during the test record at different depths of water volume fraction, the change of resistivity, suction, migration of water in Loess soils.
