In recent years,trimaran is known as a new type of high speed ship at home and abroad.Compared with monohull and catamaran,trimaran has good lateral stability,sea keeping,wave resistance characteristics and the layout of trimaran is more flexible.However the structure and the load of trimaran are complex and the research of design to trimaran is still in its infancy both at home and abroad.And the research mainly focuses on the hydrodynamic theory,the model test and the optimization of ship form,etc.,and the conceptual designs to fatigue are relatively few.The fatigue damage as a potential failure mode is considered to be one of the main failure modes of structure to ship and ocean engineering.The researchers of ship's structure have attached great importance to the fatigue at home and abroad.However the date of trimaran is less,some researches are done by foreign scholars,technology and information is a secret to us.we will do a research in the fatigue characteristics of trimaran based on LR specification.The main contents include:(1)The theoretical basis and methods of researches to the analysis of fatigue : Elaborated the theoretical basis of the analysis to fatigue and the basic methods,and focus on the basic principle of a S-N curve,analytical steps and the corresponding characteristic;(2)Established trimaran 's finite element model then get the stress of finite elements to determine the hot spots of fatigue and then use the Compass-Walcs-Basic and the software of finite elements to get the response values of hot spots' stress,last calculate the fatigue life of trimaran according to the method of spectral analysis.(3)Do a research on the influence of factors to trimaran fatigue.
