In recent decades,the rapid development of China's economy has promoted the rapid urbanization process,and the problems of urban ecological environment have been highlighted.On the one hand,many urban water resources are scarce and unevenly distributed,and the urban water level is declining.On the other hand,the increase in impervious area leads to the inability of the urban rainwater to naturally descend,causing frequent flooding of the city.In view of the problem of rainwater in such cities,the central authorities put forward the development of "sponge city".Rain garden as an important city "sponge",has been widely used in foreign countries,and in China started late,and the lack of local conditions of research and successful engineering case.Most of the urban residential area has the characteristics of large impervious area,high building density,and the development and utilization of underground space.These features are more restrictive to the natural infiltration and comprehensive utilization of rainwater.Based on these characteristics,the design and construction of the rainwater garden in the residential area has become a concern for urban builders and designers.In this paper,taking Fengxi New City sponge city construction as the background,taking Kangdingheyuan,Fengrunheyuan and Tianfuheyuan in Fengxi New City Residential District,from the perspective of landscape architecture,this paper adopts literature research,investigation and case study And to explore the design and construction method of rain garden in urban residential area.Firstly,the concept of rain garden is defined,and the existing methods of rain garden classification are analyzed.The ecological,economic and aesthetic functions of rain garden are analyzed,and the theoretical basis of rain garden is analyzed.The successful rain garden case at home andabroad is analyzed.Second,the case study of the rain garden in the four districts of Kangdingheyuan,Fengrunheyuan and Tianfuheyuan,analyzes the climate,hydrology,soil and rainwater utilization of Fengxi New City,The main types,structure,plant configuration,landscape effect and relationship with people in the rain garden are summarized,and the present situation is summarized.Thirdly,the natural factors,artificial factors and policy factors influencing the design of the rain garden in the residential area are put forward.The catchment mode of the site is summarized,and the catchment unit is divided into 113 watershed units.According to the building + green space + road,building + square,road + green space,parking lot + green space + road,building + green space,square + road + green space,Building + green space + parking lot + road,parking lot + road + road + green space,square + road,and summarize the site characteristics of the catchment unit;extract each site type rain garden model for analysis;fourth,put forward rain garden The principles and methods of planting design,summarize the plant species suitable for the rain garden;summarize the plant species and material application of the rain garden;discuss the detailed design of the rain garden rainwater,the rainwater outlet,the drainage ditch,the overflow port and the water flow height difference;Put forward the design of rainwater garden points;put forward the application of materials and rainwater garden maintenance and management points.
