In recent years,the pace of urbanization has been accelerating under the vigorous promotion of the state,but with the consequent shortage of water resources and increasingly severe urban floods and other disasters restricting the sustainable development of cities.Since the introduction of the policy related to the construction of sponge cities in China,all kinds of related research work and scientific practice projects have yielded fruitful results,and the guiding concept based on the theory of sponge city construction has been clarified.This is an effective strategy to alleviate urban pollution problems such as river pollution,urban floods and waste of water.The campus is a very important public open place in the city.When the sponge city construction policy is fully launched,the construction of the campus rain garden in China is in the ascendant,and the special cultural and educational nature of the campus,the landscape and the green land landscape make it a sponge city.The forerunners in the process can play a positive and exemplary role in promoting the needs of the campus environment for ecological cognition.On the basis of reviewing the relevant theories of sponge city,this paper combines books,research literature and field research to combine the development status of rainwater garden construction practice at home and abroad,and implements the theoretical basis and technical points of implementation of rainwater garden.In-depth study of functions,structure,classification,etc.,and analysis of the actual case of the campus "rain garden",summed up the design strategy suitable for the rain garden in the campus site.Rain gardens are used as natural landscape facilities for rainwater resources management.The necessity of combining campus green space construction with rainwater gardens is discussed.Different factors affecting campus sites are analyzed and analyzed,and the green landscape design needs to be considered and investigated.Site factors provide data support.Under the guidance of the sponge city concept,the construction of rainwater management facilities,mainly rain gardens,is included in the scope of campus green space landscape,and the campus rainwater garden is designed and constructed from the aspects of landscape and technology.On this basis,select the representative sites of Xianlin Campus of Nanjing Normal University to design and transform,integrate theoretical research results and combine with the actual situation,to some extent reflect the concept of rain garden,under the premise of adopting advanced technical measures And pay attention to meet the needs of campus culture,designed a rich landscape facilities,and at the same time realized the utilization of rainwater resources,promoted the construction of ecological campus,and provided a practical reference for the design and construction of rainwater gardens in the campus.
