The square steel tube column has the same geometric and mechanical properties in two directions.Compared with the H section,it is more suitable for the frame structure. At present, the research on the connection form between the square steel tube and the H-shaped beam is mainly focused on the internal diaphragms, through diaghragms, the outer annular-stiffener,the end plate connection and so on.In this paper,a new type of assembled steel frame beam column joint is proposed, which is connected by a square steel tube column and a H-shaped steel beam through a groove shaped steel. It is reasonable and economical in structure and construction. In order to study the influence of the structure of the new type of beam-column joints on the seismic performance of the joints, the seismic performance of the joints is studied by finite element analysis on the basis of the experimental study. The main contents are as follows:(1)The quasi static test of six 1:2 specimens were carried out under cyclic loads. The effects of axial compression ratio, bending resistance, shear bolt pre tension, groove shape steel thickness, dog bone connection and other parameters on the failure mode, hysteretic behavior and ductility of the joints are analyzed. Some suggestions are put forward on the design of the new beam column joints.(2)The nonlinear finite element software ABAQUS 6.12 is used to carry out the numerical simulation of the beam column joints. The numerical analysis results are in good agreement with the experimental results, and have high accuracy and can be used for the analysis of the beam column joints.Based on the results of numerical analysis, the failure modes and stress distribution of each component are analyzed.(3)The finite element software is used to analyze the test object, and the reliability of finite element analysis is verified by comparing the test results and the finite element results. The finite element method is used to analyze the relevant parameters of the axial compression ratio, the tensile strength of the bending bolt, the thickness of the groove steel, the shear bolt and the dog bone connection.(4)Based on the results of experiment and numerical analysis, the structural requirements and design formulas of the joint are proposed by referring to the design formula of the relevant joints.Based on the experimental study, numerical and theoretical analysis, the influence of different parameters on the seismic performance of the joints is studied. The corresponding design formula of the joints is put forward, which lays the foundation for the application of the new assembly column beam joints.
