Reducing valve is the subassembly,which is widely used in the area of rocket engine.It lowers the pressure by changing openings,and keeps the pressure in a certain range by medium's energy or external energy.The design work of reducing valve is crucial for the process of product development,because the performance of reducing valve depending on the design of it plays a decisive role.Based on the analysis of the traditional design of the reducing valve,this paper studies the intelligent design method of reducing valve.The paper adopts the expert system to built an intelligent design system of reducing valve to aid design.Expert system includes knowledge base and inference engine,The knowledge base includes design knowledge.The paper classifies related knowledge in the process of reducing valve design,and a hybrid knowledge representation method is present to represent above knowledge.Inference engine decides the reasoning method of intelligent design system.The system uses a hybrid reasoning,CBR-RBR and rule matrix,according to reducing valve structure design features.Consequently,design system has the function of automatic reasoning,analysis and decision-making.The paper divides intelligent design system into three modules,scheme reasoning,parameter-driven design and emulation analysis,base on the process of reducing valve design.Studying application of intelligent design to three modules,and performing the example calculation.The scheme reasoning completes reducing valve type selection,calculating main parameters of components and optimization design,with the method of CBR-RBR and rule matrix.The effectiveness and rationality of the proposed method are verified through the example analysis.Parameter-driven design builds templates base and defines relationship of design parameters and geometric parameters with the method of equation and neural network.Using the method of integration design achieved the integration of design and optimization analysis and analyzing examples.The test results indicate that the method is effective and reliable.Finally,the system selects CLIPS and VC++ to build partial knowledge base and inference engine,base on SYSWARE.The paper takes A-reducing valve design for example to verify the effectiveness and rationality of the system,therefore,the reference can be provided to the designers for intelligent design of rocket engine.
