This paper develops a battery management unit to work with multifunction lithium-ion batteries,also called Multifunctional Structure Unit(MFSU),complete the functionon of charge and discharge,to verify the in-orbit performance of MFSU's.The main function of MFSU is the characteristics of the internal lithium ion battery.The battery management unit with the MFSU constant current charging,constant current discharge,collect the signal of battery current and battery voltage.This paper analyzes the demand of MFSU in orbit,the circuit of battery power management is divided into three modules,including charging,discharging and conditioning.The charging module is responsible for the constant current charging or constant voltage charging to MFSU;The discharge module is responsible for the constant current discharging for MFSU;The Conditioning module is responsible for the regulating of MFSU's section voltage,total voltage and median voltage,for satellite platform and DPU,used in MFSU condition monitoring.In this paper,the circuit scheme,circuit design and other key important part of the three major function module carried on the detailed analysis and design calculation.Battery management unit uses the series technical of voltage loop and current loop to implement the switch independently of constant cuirent charging and constant voltage charging;By improving the unidirectional current mirror circuit,realize the two-way current collection of current mirror circuit;Take the way of selecting resistance meet the precision demand of voltage acquisition circuit;In addition,in order to validate the technical specifications of the products,Using the generic instruments and The emitter follower circuit designed the battery simulator.Through detailed measurement and environment test,the technical indexes of battery management unit meet the requirements and it can also meet the on-orbit test requirements of MFSU.
