At present,our country energy structure is unreasonable.The proportion of gas is relatively low in the total energy consumption,the coal is relatively high,this irrational use of energy structure will bring social and environmental problems to our country,and this is not in line with China’s national policy of sustainable development.In all the energy consumption,building energy consumption accounted for the largest.At the same time,there is a serious seasonal imbalance in the city electricity and gas load.For urban power,power load in summer is higher than power load in winter;for city gas load,the gas load in winter is higher than gas load in summer.And air conditioning cooling load in the hot summer and cold winter regions is greater than its air conditioning heating load,in this situation,adopting gas engine driven heat pump air conditioning system become a trend.First of all,this paper analyzes the gas engine driven heat pump working principle,working characteristics and operational features of the system from the perspective of the theory of gas engine driven heat pump cycle.And compares the energy coefficient of the gas heat pump air conditioning system with several other traditional air conditioning system,and for electric heat pumps,gas engine driven heat pumps,gas boiler cold heat source,such as different forms of a computation method of the air conditioning system energy utilization factor of a detailed analysis,points out the importance of waste heat recovery for gas engine driven heat pump air conditioning system.Then,from the uneven distribution of domestic resources and the actual situation to start by analyzing the energy structure optimization,natural gas and electricity two kinds of energy as the starting point,this paper expounds the necessity of using gas engine driven heat pump air conditioning system from improving the imbalance of urban power load and the gas load.Choose Shanghai,Chongqing as the representative of hot summer and cold winter region,this paper expounds the electricity,natural gas using status of the two cities,points out some problems in the using process.Point out the importance of applying the gas-fired heat pump air-conditioning in these areas,and the double peak-shaving effect on electric power and natural gas.Improve the seasonal imbalance of power,gas,to achieve good economic benefit and social benefit through the development of gas air-conditioning system.Finally,take a pension building in Shanghai,a residential building and hospital building in Chongqing for example,analyze applicability and economy of gas engine driven heat pump air conditioning system are in hot summer and cold winter region,and discuss the user economic benefit and social benefit.Analyses affect gas engine driven heat pump air conditioning system running economy when the natural gas price and electricity price changes,as well as the use of natural gas instead of coal produced by the social and economic benefits.
