Blast furnace slag fiber produced from blast furnace slag is a new type of inorganic fiber materials like cotton,which is prepared by being remelted,tempered,and centrifuged.Owing to its light weight,high temperature resistant and other advantages,blast furnace slag fiber is diffusely applied to all aspects of our life.However,there is little research on the correlation of fiber as reinforcement material of cement mortar and concrete.The article combines the performance and requirements of other fiber concrete and alkali resistance of blast furnace slag fiber and effect of fiber on cement mortar and concrete are studied.The research content and conclusions are as follows:1).That the alkaline resistance properties of blast furnace slag fiber is explored.The research shows that in the experiment,the corrosion degree of fiber is aggravated with the increase of alkaline solution concentration,soaking time and temperature.The alkali resistance performance of blast furnace slag fiber is poor.2).Experimental studies are carried out to explore the effects on the performance of fiber reinforced cement mortar.Consequences demonstrate that the flexural strength and compressive strength of cement-based materials have been improved,which reaches to an increase of 12.5% and 7.66% when fibers content is about 0.6%,compared with the plain specimens.And the shrinkage of cement mortar performance is improved when the fiber content is about0.5%~1.0%.3).The test is implemented to weigh the influence of fiber acidity coefficient and three different fiber on the mechanical properties of cement mortar,with the same fiber content.Experimental conclusions show that the bigger fiber acidity coefficient is,the more strong space network structure of fiber is and the better performance of fiber alkali resistance is.The effect of blast furnace slag fiber with acidity coefficient of 1.4 on cement mortar is better than that of fiber with Mk = 1.1,1.2,1.3.And due to that the alkali resistance performance of blast furnace slag fiber is poor,basalt fiber and polypropylene fiber which improve the performance of the cement mortar are superior to that later.4).The compressive strength,flexural strength,splitting tensile strength of fiber reinforced concrete are studied by different mass fractions of blast furnace slag fiber(0.25%~2.0%).The results indicate that,compared with the plain concrete,the addition of 2% blast furnace slag fiber improves the compressive strength and flexural strength by 7.27%and 17.42% respectively.But,no evidence shows obvious increase for splitting tensile strength.
