Based on the research of the small H vertical shaft fan produced by a company,the optimal design of the fan blade is carried out.According to the blade shape,there are five types of the blades that have been chosen to analyze through profili blade design software.Through the preliminary analysis on the same Reynolds number condition,EPPLER 561 type has been chose because of the best lift coefficient.Then the research use Fluent software analyze EPPLER 561 under 0 degree angle simulation analysis and use different grid size respectively on the surface of the airfoil and select the optimal number of grid for simulation calculation.The next process is that the simulation of different attack angles to capture data through EPPLER 561.In order to demonstrate the feasibility of simulation analysis,we have to compare the experimental results about that.Next the research analyzed the speed images with different attack angles and pressures and then find out the stall angle of airfoil.We use two type of turbulence models RNG k-? and k-w SST to analyze data and compare the experimental results with calculated results,and find more accurate turbulence models.Vortex panel method and CFD simulation method have been used to optimize airfoil design.The relative thickness of the airfoil and relative curvature lift and drag coefficient also been drown to conclusion.There are some merits of vortex panel method like short-time period,but the airfoil image is more intuitive of CFD simulation.The research uses gambit software dividing two dimensional mesh of the simulation of vertical axis wind turbine and change the unsteady flow settings to change flow velocity of the turbine through Fluent software and then get the conclusion which is that the machine has a long tail flow region with the larger vertical axis wind turbine speed.Along with the deeper analysis,the fans have been meshed into three-dimension grid with the condition of with or without connecting rod and flanges.The conclusion is that fully three-dimensional simulation result of the wind turbine is closer to the actual data.
