Research On The Application Of Degradable Materials In Packaging Design

With the rapid development of economy and the improvement of the live quality,people's demand for commodities is on the increase,which directly drives the needs for packaging.Since the reform and opening up,packaging industry in China has been developing rapidly.Meanwhile,ecological environment issues have attracted much attention of the world,development of green packaging industry and environmental protection now are attached more and more importance.The research and development of environment-friendly biodegradable packaging materials is of great importance for environment protection and the promotion of sustainable economic development,as well as achieving harmony between man and nature.It has become a consensus among the packaging industry in developed countries.Firstly,this paper analyzed the development of degradable materials,and summed up the characteristics of biodegradable packaging materials.And by the study of the concept,function and structure of packaging,it was concluded that through a reasonable choice of packaging materials,packaging can achieve the protection of goods and better sales,as well as live up to the degradation principles.And to be used as packaging materials,biodegradable material need to meet several performance requirements.Nextly,we analyzed the unique attributes of each kind of degradable material based on the standard for which to act as packaging material.Under the existing application of biodegradable packaging materials,the present design cases were analyzed,and the selection principles for degradable materials to act as packaging materials were summed up.During the design of biodegradable packaging materials,the optimization of structural design obtained some breakthrough as well.Based on the analysis of the existing cases in the packaging structure design,the evolution of packaging structure design was concluded.It has experienced the structural design of traditional biodegradable materials,Macro-structure design,structural optimization innovation of composite biodegradable materials,Micro-structure innovation,and the recreation of traditional packaging structure in the new period.Each of which has reflected the importance of structural design.Finally,based on the study above,a new type of biodegradable packagingcompression straw packaging for eggs is proposed.According to the design criteria and performance requirements above,compression straw packaging box for eggs can achieve the criteria of packaging design and possess good performance.
